The genetic identity of Wolbachia Endosymbiont in the ticks of Rhipicephalus Sanguineus was determined for the first time in Taiwan. A total of 1004 HR. Sanguineus ticks were examined for Wolbachia by reaction test of the polymerase chain targeting the Wolbachie surface protein gene (WSP). The prevalence of Wolbachie infection has been detected in nymphs, women and men with a rate of infection of 55.8, 39.8 and 44%, respectively.
The phylogenetic relations have been analyzed by comparing the WSP gene sequences obtained from 60 strains of Wolbachia representing 11 strains of supergroup A and 10 strains of supergroup B. In general, seven major clads of supergroup A and six key clads of supergroup B can be easily easily. distinguished by a neighborhood analysis and were congruent by a maximum likelihood method. All these Wolbachie Taiwan strains were genetically affiliated with Supergroups A and B with a high sequence similarity of 98.3 to 100% and 98.6 to 100%, respectively. An intra-and inter-group analysis based on the genetic distance values (GD) indicated a lower level (GD <0.017) in group A of Taiwan strains compared to group B (GD> 0.576) other strains of Wolbachia, as well as lower level (GD <0.062) in Taiwan Group B strains with respect to group A (GD> 0.246) other Wolbachia strains. Our results provide the first genetic identification of Wolbachia Endosymbiont in HR. Detection and genetic characterization of viruses present in free snow leopards using new generation sequencing
Snow leopards inhabit the cold and arid environments of the high mountains of South Asia and the center. These living conditions probably affect the abundance and composition of the microbes with the ability to infect these animals. It is important to investigate microbes that snow leopards are exposed to detect infectious diseases of diseases and define a baseline for future changes that can affect the health of this fuel in danger. In this work, the new generation sequencing is used to investigate the fecal (and in a few serum cases) viroma of seven snow leopards of the Mongolian Mongolia Mongolia mountains.
Viral species to which the largest number of sequences read has shown a great similarity was rotavirus. Excluding an animal with the set, very few sequences reads, four of the six animals (67%) showed evidence of rotavirus infection. A serum sample of a man and a rectal buffer of a female snow leopard sequence reads identical or closely similar to Felid Herpevirus 1, providing the first evidence that this virus infects snow leopards. In addition, the covered covered with the same woman also displayed the sequence reads more like in papillomavirus 2 Féline 2, which is the first evidence of this virus infecting snow leopards. We used simulations of large genomic regions to determine how different secondary contact scenarios and sympathetic specification affect the impression of hard and gentle selective sweeps in the presence of various degrees of genes and recombination. We have explored the capacity of a range of genetic synthesis statistics for the population to detect footprints of these selective sweeps under specific demographies. We focused on metrics that do not require phase data or ancestral sequences and therefore have a broad applicability. We found that a newly developed beta diversity measure, BGD, outperformed all other measures to detect selective scans and that the FST also worked well. A great precision was also found in metrics derived from Δπ and the genotype distance. The performance of most metrics depended heavily on factors such as the presence of an allopatricial phase, migration rates, recombination, demographic growth and to determine whether the scan was hard or mild. We provide suggestions to locate and analyze the response to selective sweeps in entire genome data.
