necrotizing fasciitis (OCNF) Oro-cervical treatment requires early surgical debridement and wound opening, and therefore, early diagnosis is crucial. Laboratory Risk Indicator for Necrotizing fasciitis (LRINEC) scores based on data from blood tests recently proposed as an additional diagnostic tool. However, in some cases, be difficult to diagnose OCNF. We conducted a pooled analysis of patients with OCNF in Gunma University Hospital and literature cases, with the aim of designing a new additional diagnostic tool for OCNF by adding physical characteristics of oro-cervical region of data in examination.Univariate first blood test and multivariate logistic regression is used to select a predictor OCNF , The LRINEC-Oro-Cervical (OC) score then designed using correlation coefficients selected item in a logistic regression analysis. Cutoff value for LRINEC-OC score is determined by using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis.

This study is evaluating alternatives for managing the red poultry mite population as a complement to conventional chemical treatments and other control strategies in poultry houses. A simple autoinoculation device ready with corrugated cardboard (CB) or loofah sponge (LS) as an inert support to anchor Beauveria bassiana conidia used to aggregate and infecting mites from infesting poultry houses. In the laboratory, mites gather in the trap and the average death by fungi is higher than 70% in CB and LS trap after 5 and 4 days of exposure each.

Description: The keratocyte, or corneal fibroblast, is a highly specialized cell that is sandwiched between orthogonally arranged layers of collagen lamellae in the corneal stroma. They play a key role in maintaining the structure and transparency of the cornea as they are the source of stromal collagen and proglycans. They also play important roles in corneal wound healing and tissue repair and are known to undergo phenotypic transformations in wounds due to the influence of growth factors and cytokines. Under normal conditions, the keratocyte in the adult cornea is a relatively quiescent cell. However, in the event of a corneal injury or trauma, the keratocytes differentiate into active, synthesizing cells and rapidly replace damaged stromal matrix. Cultured human keratocytes express functional IL-4Rs and IL-17R on cell surface, suggesting that these cells may contribute to the role of IL-4 and IL-17 as mediators of allergic reactions in the cornea. Changes in gene expression were reproducibly observed on keratocytes after interleukin-1 treatment which provides important insight in gene expression and suggests novel therapeutic targets for the control of corneal inflammation.HK from Gentaur Research Laboratories are isolated from human cornea. HK are cryopreserved at primary culture. Each vial contains 5×10^5 cells in 1 ml volume. HK are characterized by their spindle morphology and immunofluorescent method with antibody to fibronectin.
